Iran's Rouhani: Plans in place for any Trump decision on nuclear deal

Iran's Rouhani: Plans in place for any Trump decision on nuclear deal

Trump, of course, made no mention of the awkward fact that Israel had stolen much of its nuclear technology and uranium from the United States, sometimes with the connivance of very senior US government officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with an eye on Trump's May 12 decision deadline, offered his own political trifecta April 30, all hedged toward the prospect of escalation with Iran.

Delivering the S-300 system to the Assad regime would thus mark a major change in Syria's defense capabilities, since the system tracks air crafts and ballistic missiles over a range of 300 kilometers. He has, so far, not built the wall and Mexico has flatly refused to pay a cent.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu intends to brief Russian President Vladimir Putin in their Wednesday meeting in Moscow, in hopes of persuading him to intervene with the Iranians to cancel the attack, according to the reports.

Recent weeks have seen the hostility between Iran and Israel develop from a secretive conflict to come out into the open.

"We have a president who is tough", said Giuliani at the 2018 Iran Freedom Convention for Democracy and Human Rights.

Al-Monitor reporter Laura Rozen floated a possible connection between the reported details in the Guardian article to the private Israeli intelligence firm Black Cube, which gained widespread notoriety in the U.S. last year after a report that linked it to disgraced Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Kahl noted that an e-mail from the individual appeared "out of the blue" and "had all sorts of specific information on my wife's volunteer duties at an obscure D.C. elementary school".

Addressing a cabinet meeting, he accused Iran of supplying advanced weapons to the Syrian government that posed a danger to Israel.

The ambassador added that the United Kingdom considered the agreement a "good" deal, although not a perfect one.

"If the IAEA is expelled, we will no longer have eyes and ears on what's happening and may well face Iran starting back on the road to nuclear weapons", said Wendy Sherman, a former U.S. diplomat who helped lead the U.S. negotiating team on the Iran deal. If trump demands are not met, it will refuse to continue to comply with the international agreement limiting Iran's nuclear program.

"We have plans to resist any decision by Trump on the nuclear accord", Rouhani said in a speech carried live by state television.

The never-understated Netanyahu claimed that the purloined material proved that Iran was lying about having halted its covert nuclear program and must not be trusted. I would say that digging up dirt on someone for carrying out their professional responsibilities in their positions as White House officials is a chillingly authoritarian thing to do'.

"Plan A is that the US stays in the deal", he said.

Behnam Ben Taleblu, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies said, "There is a possibility for this data to be used for withdrawal, but you could also really pressure the Europeans to meet us more than halfway".

This post has been updated to include Black Cube's denial.
