Gorka Acknowledges Being 'Told' To Speak To Michael Wolff For Book

When Asked About Factual Errors In His Trump Book, Michael Wolff Says 'If It Rings True, It Is True'

Trump's days are now tailored around watching television and spending time on social media, dubbed 'executive time'

It would be inaccurate to say Wolff's exposé of a shambolic White House sparked a feud between the hypersensitive president and his former chief strategist, who is also one of the book's main sources.

Bannon has been abandoned by financial patrons, condemned by erstwhile political allies and ridiculed by Trump himself over his comments, which he has not denied making but has since tried to walk back.

The book, "Fire and Fury", by journalist Michael Wolff, quoted Bannon at length attacking Trump's family, with special rancor aimed at Trump's daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

"Steve is a valued part of our legacy", Solov said, "And we will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us to accomplish". He pressed the case again on Sunday as he prepared to depart Camp David, where he spent the weekend meeting with Republican congressional leaders, top aides and Cabinet members.

Fire and Fury sold out in its first day of availability. Hillary Clinton has accused Wikileaks of being a "tool of Russian intelligence", and Trump's own CIA director, Mike Pompeo, has described it as a "non-state hostile intelligence service".

White House officials and Trump's high-profile supporters have launched an effort to raise doubts about Wolff's credibility.

Tiffany Trump, 24, backed up the claim in Michael Wolff's tell-all book when questioned by TMZ.

Last week alone, in the midst of the swirl around Wolff's book, Trump opened nearly all of our offshore waters to drilling even as the Department of Housing and Urban Development suspended an Obama-era rule requiring communities to address residential segregation. So I have no fear that Steve Bannon was not aware of what he was doing.

"Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency". In Europe, the Stoxx 600 was 0.2 percent higher at 5:45 a.m. Eastern Time as a gauge of economic confidence for the euro area climbed to the strongest level since December 2000. A Pew survey last month found Trump losing ground particularly among whites without college degrees and white evangelicals. Kelly said Trump did not seem angry and on Friday night had watched a new movie, "The Greatest Showman" about legendary circus promoter P.T. Barnum, with the lawmakers.

- We could see a flurry of names come out and toss their hats in the ring starting today. "I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book!"

MCEVERS: What are we to make of Bannon's rise and fall, then? She had pledged support for Trump "and the platform upon which he was elected". Have you been reading the news at all for the past year? I don't give credit to anything in this book.

Later on Wednesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders fiercely slapped Wolff's book, accusing it is "filled with false and misleading accounts". "He's like a pinball, just shooting off the sides".
