Top GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, who has quickly become one of Trump's top allies in Congress after helping pass the Senate's massive tax reform package, suggested that if Alabama voters choose Moore next week, the Senate should consider this matter settled.
Regarding the allegations, Chen added that some people don't believe the women because they don't want to. "And so should you", Jones said in speech on Tuesday. I assume the Republican National Committee (RNC) will go the way of Trump, but the NRSC is controlled by the Republican members of the Senate.
The interesting question to me is: What happens once he's in the Senate? And just like in any other place, one job in Washington tends to credential you for the next job. Romney tweeted Monday, "no vote, no majority is worth losing our honor, our integrity".
"You hid behind your religion", Bannon said.
"I think he's going to do very well".
Former Massachusetts Governor and 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney took to Twitter late Monday to distance himself, and his party, from the former Alabama judge who faces several allegations of sexual misconduct.
"The accusations against Roy Moore have been horrifying, but not shocking".
But, these same voters must now come to terms with the reality of his predatory behavior.
"Judge Moore has been through the fire".
Moore didn't address the allegations directly Tuesday night. "I did not date any of these women I did not engage in any sexual misconduct with anyone".
"I know we do not need transgender in our military", Moore said.
But Republicans don't operate off of logic, they operate off of grievance. Election day is Dec. 12.
Trump's support for Moore to date has been limited to calling out the radical leftist Democrat positions of Moore's opponent, Doug Jones, but not anymore.
Bannon is far more focused on economic populism and immigration. Neither of Trump's grown sons served in the US military.
NPR (12/4/17) watered down this headline from the already euphemistic "Trump Endorses Roy Moore for First Time Since Sex Allegations". Withholding financial support from Moore won't deprive him of money so much as it will act as an important signal as to where an important force in the Republican Party stands. It is actually a fetid pile of moral relativism, courtesy of the party of family values, and they own it.
He later spoke to Mr Moore on the phone and according to the White House's deputy press secretary, Raj Shah, it was "a positive call". "And he's spewing the lie from the pulpit of a church".
It is noteworthy that the woman who accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 14 voted for Republican Donald Trump. Moore said they began dating "early in the new year", 1985, and dated for "about a year".
Frank Blakeman, a former history teacher from nearby Foley, Ala., described Moore as a continuation of Trump's conservative movement. He then pulled out a small pistol while saying, "I believe in the Second Amendment". Newspapers aren't meant to be managers of cognitive dissonance; in theory, they're conveyors of truthful information. My lost friends are pointing to your sign as proof that Christianity is fake.
