After the launch of the flagship HTC U11 earlier this year, it's time for a cheaper entry in HTC's lineup.
My point here is that the U11 Life looks like a great phone, but at a price of $349, mediocre specs and worse of all, no support for Google Project Fi (at least), HTC seems to be headed into one of those famous pits it has recently been digging for itself.
"The U11 life's screen is a 5.2" 1920x1080 LCD unit.
This is HTC's first Android One handset and one of the first Android One handsets that will be available globally from a big brand. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. The U11 Life has also been leaked, courtesy of T-Mobile, who has provided the entire spec sheet on their website. The HTC U11+ is IP68 rated water and dust resistant and due to the thin bezels, the fingerprint sensor is now placed below the rear-mounted camera. On the front, there's fixed-focus and 1080p recording. Bluetooth 5.0 is included in this package, and so is USB Type-C (2.0). The phone will have noticeable bezels on the top and bottom with a home button that will also double as a fingerprint sensor as well. You get more screen real estate in the end and though it is a not an OLED display, you still get the Super LCD6 display, which now supports a wider range of colors (DCI-P3), and can show off HDR10 content if you're into media consumption. The smaller display of the HTC U11 life also has a lesser resolution - 1080 x 1920 pixels, which means 424 pixels per inch. The smartphone will reportedly launch in China this month. HTC will be offering the U11+ in two memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. A microSD card will support expandable storage up to 2TB. As far as camera is concerned, this phone will come with a 12MP rear camera, with a capability of shooting in 4K resolution. Likewise, there lies an 8MP selfie camera at the front. It bears resemblance with the U11 flagship phone.
This model features Amazon Alexa as well as Google Assistant and it is fitted with Cat. The HTC U11 Life measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1mm, and weighs 142 grams.
One of the unique introduced by the company in the Squeeze feature. The same "Liquid" glass design is back, this time in blue, ceramic black, and a new translucent design that lets you see some of the phone's internals.
