A third 911 call came in for yet another patient transport - this time prompting the fire department to send more crews to the nursing home to investigate.

In total, 115 people have since been evacuated from the home.

Gov. Scott announced Thursday the Center will no longer receive state Medicaid funds.

At the time of the deaths at the Hollywood Hills nursing home, almost 150 other nursing homes were without power.

Southwest Florida was one of the areas of the state hardest hit by Hurricane Irma.

Attorneys John Leighton and Max Panoff are representing the family of Albertina Vega, 99, who was among the eight people who died this week after being without adequate air conditioning for days following Hurricane Irma.
