State and federal regulations require nursing homes to be evacuated if it gets too hot inside. Many communities are still cleaning up or without power or air conditioning. Florida Power and Light Company estimated the west coast would have power restored by September 22, while the east coast would likely have power as soon as this weekend.
Investigators and loved ones are now seeking answers after eight people died in relation to a Hollywood nursing home that lost power.
Tuesday, however, saw no change. Hurricane Irma has severely affected the power grids and power lines.
Another arrived at 4 a.m.
More than 100 patients at the nursing home were transferred to nearby branches of Memorial Regional Hospital, where they were given immediate treatment for their varied conditions.
A third 911 call came in for yet another patient transport - this time prompting the fire department to send more crews to the nursing home to investigate.
In total, 115 people have since been evacuated from the home.
The Rehabilitation Center of Hollywood Hills is pushing back against charges it let patients die.
Some had body temperatures of 106 degrees.says State Senator Gary Farmer.
A criminal investigation is now underway into what exactly happened Wednesday morning. "Because you know they're trying to make sure they have the power to take care of their citizens".

The death toll in both hurricanes, though, is indeed far below what other major storms have inflicted on America.
