South Korea Disputes North's Claim of Long-Range Missile Test

In response to the launch, US and South Korean forces held joint military exercises the next day, test-firing ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan.

The Trump administration said to Pyongyang that the United States would use "the full range of capabilities at our disposal against the growing threat" of North Korea.

Kim Jong-Un's wife has been spotted in public for the first time in four months as North Korea celebrates its first intercontinental ballistic missile test.

"What the Trump team has made a decision to do... is go all out internationally and economically". It would end North Korea's stand-off with the United States and South Korea, as well as the Kim dynasty once and for all.

It seems that with every new missile test launch, the intent is to show the USA that North Korea is capable and willing to launch an attack on our territory.

"If the UNSC negotiations are unsatisfactory, I think it would actively consider unilateral sanctions, on which it will closely coordinate with us". The White House declined comment.

It comes after North Korea announced it had launched an ICBM which officials believe is capable of reaching Alaska.

She noted Washington issued sanctions against Chinese entities last week. The US knew North Korea liked to test missiles on Independence Day to send a message. -Russian nuclear deterrence, mutual U.S.

Cui Tiankai, China's ambassador to Washington, said on Monday that secondary sanctions were "not acceptable". They concluded that a powerful nuclear deterrent against potential USA aggression would guarantee their survival. -China Comprehensive Economic Dialogue, an important forum for narrowing differences between the world's two biggest economies. However, China wants the accept a dual-moratorium with Pyongyang as a first step to deescalate the tense situation in the area.

"They'd have to show they're really serious", the second official said.

"We're going to isolate them more and more economically and diplomatically".

US and United Nations sanctions have so far failed to deter Pyongyang from pursuing its nuclear and missile programs. The administration did not get Congressional approval before airstrikes on Syria in April.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the solitary state-run news network of the country, said that the increased number of American soldiers in the peninsula is a more effective target for its missiles.

Although not a silver bullet, crashing North Korea's grid - repeatedly, if necessary - has the strong potential to force a coup, cripple the army, forestall further nuclear progress or drive the regime to sue for peace.

North Korea has been seeking to develop long-range missile technology for over 20 years.
